Sewage Backup

This customer had an insurance loss, and the repair estimate didn’t seem to be enough to cover the repairs. I was called in to inspect the loss by the customer. I wrote a repair estimate using the insurance industry’s standard estimating software and was able to get additional funds for the customer to complete the repairs. The cabinetry was salvageable and just had to be detached in order to address the subfloor. Rotted subfloor was patched and contaminated subfloor was treated with an antimicrobial and then encapsulated. A new underlayment was installed with seams feathered in. The customer upgraded from sheet vinyl to a glue down groutable luxury vinyl tile with a diagonal installation.
