Storm Damage
This customer had an insurance loss from a leaking chimney. The chimney was not properly flashed for 20 plus years. This caused rot and mold on roof, wall, and ceiling framing. The carrier approved an additional estimate for mold remediation. The roof was repaired and properly flashed before interior repairs started. The carpet was removed, and containment was set up along with an air scrubber. The rotten and moldy materials were removed, and remaining structure was cleaned with an antimicrobial. Subfloor framing and sheathing was replaced along with wall framing. Insulation, drywall, painting, and carpet were then completed to wrap up the customer’s home.
